VILLAYÓN C.R.A. Villayón is situated in Villayón, Spain. Founded in 1979, our school comprises 3 units in three different locations: Villayón, Busmente and Concernoso. C.R.A Villayón is a purely rural school, both by its geographical location and by the origins of its students, who come from up to 22 different villages.

Eighty-one students aged 3 to 14 years attend the school. There are seven pupils in Busmente, seven in Concernoso and sixty-six in Villayón. The staff comprises 18 enthusiastic teachers, all of whom perform joint coordination in order to provide our students with an appropriate and friendly learning environment.

Due to the particular characteristics of our environment (sparse population, difficult communications), one of the primary objectives in our school is to promote the socialization of our students throughout varied activities of coexistence, not only among students but also among their families. This fact makes our school a centre of reference for the whole community. Villayón is a municipality in the west of Asturias. It is a mountainous territory, an ideal place for those wishing to escape the bustle, noise and pollution of the city.

Halfway between the sea and higher inland mountains, Villayón has several natural wonders, such as the Oneta waterfalls and the Protected Landscape of Carondio and Valledor Mountains.
